The yurt is up!

We are so thrilled to move into the Pacific Yurt that Your Community Carpenter LLC assembled for us at Roberts Farm. This is the first phase of the upcoming classroom construction project on site, which will be completed in September.

For the time being we will be using this beautiful yurt and the warming hut as our home base for educational programming, hosting our 5th grade classes on site this spring and our Youth Leadership Program this summer.

Your Community Carpenter LLC is going to be collaborating with the Maine Yurt Collective to be doing some amazing work over the next few months, and we’re all really excited to raise awareness around alternative building modalities, and creating more opportunities to make safe habitable spaces more affordable and accessible!
